​The Greenfield Police Department serves a population of approx. 2,300 people. The Department consists of a Chief, 2 LTs, 4 patrol officers, and 1 civilian records clerk. The Greenfield Police Department is a continuous operating department. We have a senior call list where each day the police clerk calls seniors to check on their welfare.

Qualifications to become a police officer in Greenfield are as follows:

​– High School diploma or GED
– Pass physical and psychological testing
– Have a valid Tennessee driver’s license at time of appointment
– Successfully complete the Tennessee Law-Enforcement Training Academy
– No Felony convictions
